Your Painting Has Grown in Value. Here's What That Means For You.

Thank you for believing in me the day you bought my painting.
In the time since, I have grown as an artist — and so has the value of the work that left my hands and found a home with you. The longer I paint, the more I realise how precious and unique each piece truly is. There is nothing new under the sun, but each one of us is unique and will never exist again. As I grow older, my art grows deeper.
Today I simply want to say: I appreciate you. I appreciate your faith in me on the day you made that purchase.
I am excited to share that my work has found its way across the oceans — to America, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Russia, and Mexico. Because of this reach, and because I could no longer keep up with demand at the prices I once offered, I have increased my prices. What that means for you is that the artwork in your home has grown in value too.
A new Official Art Valuation Certificate is available for R500 — should you wish to update the official recorded value of your piece. This certificate reflects the current market value of your artwork and is suitable for insurance, estate, and resale purposes.

As Maria's profile and prices have grown, so has collector interest in her earlier works. If you are considering selling your painting, House of Maria offers two ways to help you find the right buyer.
Option 1 · Digital Marketing
- We market your artwork to our existing collector base and across our digital platforms
- No upfront cost
- Commission only payable if the artwork sells
Option 2 · Gallery Exhibition
- Your artwork is displayed in our Mossel Bay gallery for a minimum of 3 months
- First month free
- From the second month: R500 per m² per month (based on artwork size)
- Fee covers wall space, handling, and risk while on display
- Storage option available after the exhibition period at R250 per m² per month
- You are responsible for packaging, shipping and insurance to and from House of Maria, Mossel Bay

Update Your Valuation Certificate
Even if you are not ready to sell, it is worth having an updated valuation — for insurance purposes, estate planning, or simply to know what your investment is worth today.
House of Maria offers two official valuation options:
Digital PDF Art Evaluation — R150
- Official digital valuation document
- Delivered by email
- Suitable for insurance and personal records
Official Art Valuation Certificate — R500
- Full official certificate with Maria's authentication
- Suitable for insurance, estate, and resale purposes
- Printed and posted or delivered digitally

Want Something Made Just For You?
Maria also accepts commission work — meaning you can approach her directly to create an original painting specifically for you. Whether it is a specific size, colour palette, theme, or subject, Maria will work with you to bring your vision to life in her signature style.
Commissions make exceptional gifts and are a unique way to own a piece that was painted with you in mind from the very first brushstroke.
How Commissions Work
- Contact House of Maria to discuss your vision, size, and budget
- Maria will confirm availability and provide a quote
- A deposit is required to secure your commission
- You receive progress updates as the painting comes to life
- Final payment on completion before delivery or collection
- Every commission comes with an Official Certificate of Authenticity
